About GIF to JPG
A few things worth knowing before you convert GIF to JPG.

GIF is limited to 256 colours, which makes photos band and posterise badly

JPG is the safest bet anywhere — every device, app and upload form accepts it, and photos stay small

Transparent areas of your GIF become white — JPG has no alpha channel

Browser-side processingSupports PNG / JPEG / WEBP / AVIF / GIF / BMP / HEIC
Upload image
Drag images into the area below, or click the button to choose one or more files. Everything runs locally and is never uploaded.
Drop an image to begin

Supports PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP and HEIC (iPhone photos). You can resize the image, switch output format and adjust quality.

Conversion settings
Choose the output format first, then decide whether to change width and height. JPEG and WebP also support quality control.

Lossless, good for screenshots, icons and transparency

Resize mode
Lock ratio keeps the image undistorted; free stretch changes width and height independently; crop to fill scales by the larger ratio and crops the excess.
Supported formats
PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP and HEIC/HEIF can be imported; PNG, JPG/JPEG and WebP are available for export (the rest are input only).
  • Drop in a single GIF file, or select many and convert them to JPG in one batch
  • Resize while you convert: lock the aspect ratio, stretch freely, or crop to fill
  • Preview and download results one by one, or grab them all as a ZIP
  • No upload, no signup, no watermark — convert as many files as you want
  • An animated GIF keeps only its first frame; JPG is a still format
  • GIF is not lossy-compressed, so the JPG version is usually far smaller
  • JPG gives you a quality slider to trade file size against detail
How to use it
Follow these steps to convert your image.
  1. 1Drop your GIF images into the upload area, or click to pick files — several at once is fine.
  2. 2The output format is already set to JPG; adjust the width and height or pick a size preset if you need to.
  3. 3Hit Generate — the conversion runs on your own device.
  4. 4Check the preview, then download the JPG images, or grab them all as a ZIP.

FAQ
A few common questions before you start.

Are my GIF images uploaded to a server?

No. Your GIF files never leave your device — reading, decoding and exporting all happen in the browser, and nothing is stored on a server.

Is GIF to JPG free? Is there a file limit?

It is completely free and needs no account. Drop in as many GIF files as you like, convert them to JPG in one batch, and download everything as a ZIP.

What happens to transparency when GIF becomes JPG?

JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas are filled with white. Pick PNG or WebP as the output format if you need to keep transparency.

Does an animated GIF stay animated as JPG?

Only the first frame survives. JPG is a still image format, so the remaining frames of an animated GIF are dropped — use a video or GIF tool if you need the motion.

Will the file get smaller after GIF to JPG?

Usually much smaller. GIF does not compress with loss, so the same picture saved as JPG often ends up a fraction of the size — far easier to upload or send.

Can I control the JPG compression quality?

Yes. JPG lets you set the compression quality; the default of 82 balances size and detail well. Photos usually survive 70, and anything above 90 keeps fine detail.
