Online Image Cropper

Upload an image and drag a selection right on top of it to crop any area, or lock a common aspect ratio like 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9 with one click. Supports PNG, JPG, WebP and iPhone HEIC photos, all processed locally in your browser with no server uploads.

Good for tasks like these
Good for quickly trimming excess areas and exporting at a fixed ratio — not for complex photo editing.

A screenshot contains extra content and you need to precisely select the area to keep.

You want to crop an image to a fixed ratio for an avatar or cover and do not want to calculate pixels by hand.

You care about privacy and do not want to upload images to a third-party service.

Notes
A few notes worth knowing before you use the tool.

Images are never uploaded. All cropping happens in your browser.

The export size equals the selection size in original-image pixels, with no extra scaling.

JPEG does not support transparency, so transparent areas will be filled with white.

FAQ
A few common questions before you start.

Will my image be uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens in your browser and files are never sent to the server.

Which image formats are supported?

PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP and HEIC/HEIF (iPhone photos) can be imported; PNG, JPG and WebP are available for export.

How do I crop to a fixed aspect ratio?

Pick an aspect ratio preset (such as 1:1 or 16:9) and the selection locks to that ratio, so dragging the handles never distorts it. Choose Free to resize the selection however you like.

What happens to transparent backgrounds exported as JPG?

JPEG does not support transparency. If the source image has a transparent background, it will be filled with white when exported as JPG.
