About AVIF to WebP
A few things worth knowing before you convert AVIF to WebP.

AVIF compresses beautifully, but Photoshop, older Windows builds and many upload forms still reject it

WebP gives you the smallest file at the same visual quality, which is why the web runs on it

An animated AVIF keeps only its first frame; WebP is a still format

Browser-side processingSupports PNG / JPEG / WEBP / AVIF / GIF / BMP / HEIC
Upload image
Drag images into the area below, or click the button to choose one or more files. Everything runs locally and is never uploaded.
Drop an image to begin

Supports PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP and HEIC (iPhone photos). You can resize the image, switch output format and adjust quality.

Conversion settings
Choose the output format first, then decide whether to change width and height. JPEG and WebP also support quality control.

Lossless, good for screenshots, icons and transparency

Resize mode
Lock ratio keeps the image undistorted; free stretch changes width and height independently; crop to fill scales by the larger ratio and crops the excess.
Supported formats
PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP and HEIC/HEIF can be imported; PNG, JPG/JPEG and WebP are available for export (the rest are input only).
  • Drop in a single AVIF file, or select many and convert them to WebP in one batch
  • Resize while you convert: lock the aspect ratio, stretch freely, or crop to fill
  • Preview and download results one by one, or grab them all as a ZIP
  • No upload, no signup, no watermark — convert as many files as you want
  • WebP gives you a quality slider to trade file size against detail

FAQ
A few common questions before you start.

Are my AVIF images uploaded to a server?

No. Your AVIF files never leave your device — reading, decoding and exporting all happen in the browser, and nothing is stored on a server.

Is AVIF to WebP free? Is there a file limit?

It is completely free and needs no account. Drop in as many AVIF files as you like, convert them to WebP in one batch, and download everything as a ZIP.

Does an animated AVIF stay animated as WebP?

Only the first frame survives. WebP is a still image format, so the remaining frames of an animated AVIF are dropped — use a video or GIF tool if you need the motion.

Can I control the WebP compression quality?

Yes. WebP lets you set the compression quality; the default of 82 balances size and detail well. Photos usually survive 70, and anything above 90 keeps fine detail.
